On the way home from work I decided to test my IBIS in a real-world situation. As you can see from the EXIF data, it's unlikely that I would have been successful at handholding the camera without IBIS.

Thanks to a fast prime lens plus IBIS, I was able to take a boring photo of a patio at night without a tripod!

Btw, this Panasonic-Leica 25mm lens creates a lot of purple fringing. I had to desaturate the purple in Photoshop to make this photo look good.

hand held with that focal lenght.

Also, suprising lack of shadow noise.

What did you do to it?

In ACR, I used the following settings:

Recovery 100
Fill Light 18
Blacks 3
Brightness +54
Contrast +25
Vibrance +55

Shapening Amount: 0

Noise reduction settings:

Luminance 18
Luminance Detail 50

Color 25
Color Detail 50

Then in PhotoShop, all I did was crop it slightly (because there was a person half in half out of the frame at the lower right of the photo), and then used the Replace Color function to get rid of the purple fringing, and then reduced the size to 900 pixels, and then used a Smart Sharpen filter with the following settings:

Amount 77%
Radius 0.3 px
Remove: Lens Blur
More Accurate checked

Just curious about why you chose the settings that you did. Couldn't you have shot at F1.4 with zero exposure bias and eliminated the need for IS?

It looks like you still had some camera shake even with the IS. What was the focal point of the picture? It wasn't apparent by looking at it.
Well first of all, it wouldn't have been much of an IBIS test if I were shooting at a safe handheld speed. However, 1/25 of a second is still too slow to safely handhold the camera, so no, I needed the IS.

The benefit of using f/2 instead of f/1.4 is that the lens would perform better at f/2 over being wide open, and more importantly I get a little wider DOF to ensure that everything in the photo looks sharp.

F/1.4 would have only gotten him up to 1/26 sec. which is borderline for hand held. He also probably needed the extra DOF to get everything in.

Besides, the lens IQ is better stoped down a bit.

I am not seeing it.
