S100 set to bracket (0, +1.5 and -1.5 stops). Took 15 shots this way (total of 45 exposures), all handheld.

The bracketed photos were batched through Photomatix Pro to generate HDR TIF files, and then stitched using PTGui. Final panorama image sent through Viveza 2 and ColorEfx Pro. Here's the final result.

Is that the "right" way to process an HDR pano? I've been making panos of the exposures then HDRing them.

I've never had much luck stacking exposures of full panos. Always had stitch errors, but that may be because I typically try and shoot everything handheld.

My take:

Full pano HDRs: If you used a tripod, or are otherwise confident that your exposures are extremely well aligned, stacking the fully stitched panos tend to give you the best results

Stitching HDRs: If you shoot handheld, you'll end up with far fewer stitch errors by making HDRs first (micro-alignment of the images), and then doing a master stitch.

I think most of my building halos are due to the pano software pushing the HDR too far when the pano software tries to correct for exposure.

Can't say I like the results, but I do appreciate the effort.

Lost in the Colorado Mountains!!!

Thanks for sharing :) May not be perfect (the over sharpened buildings) but still an interesting result. It's always good to see what others are doing with these digicams!
