The more I think about the loss of the running % and my enjoyment of attempting constant improvement the more upset I become. One of you suggested contacting DPR through "Feedback". where do I do that?

It's really not very detailed or anything special, I don't make graphs or special sorting or anything. You may want to be much more detailed. I just have categories for: challenge title, entry name, entry date, placement number/actual number of entries (example: 6/50, meaning came in 6th of 50 total entries), and actual score (example: 2.560), and also like to keep track of how many 5's and 4's received. Perhaps when I've entered a lot of challenges I'll need something more detailed than just looking at it the old fashioned way (with my eyes).

For me I think it's a good thing to not have the challenge stats average. On one hand it made me want to enter only my best photos because I didn't want to bring it down. I got too focused on that. Good in one way that you're trying your best, but bad for learning because I think I can learn more from my entries that aren't as good than I can from only using my best. Depends on what you enter for. I'm more interested in learning than competing.

No announcment at all ! Just the percentage stats disappeared. Perhaps the people in DPReview are just impooving the stats algorithm... otherwise it would be a great pitty.

The only thing we can do is steadylly asking Dpreview to bring the stats back ASAP!

I heard back from Simon - the stats are off temporarily while DPReview is addressing some database issues.

I am not anxous anymore to see my stats as I have been doing horrible all of a sudden. I think I need to just take a break until I figure it all out. But I am glad that the stats are coming back and I am learning a lot by looking at all the winners photos. Something to aspire to.

Same here, my last one did very bad, but I knew it would as I broke one of my submission rules when I entered it.

That is probably what I need to do--devise some submission rules for myself. Sometimes I have submitted photos just because they fit the challenge knowing that they aren't really that great. Not a good idea, especially if the stats are coming back!!

Yup! Been there, done that... and stupidly probably still doing it. My wife verbally slaps me when I enter something I think is amusing but it's usually too late.
