Nikon D7000 Firmware hack

in pixel density (if that much) but not so much so from a 16MP one, either downsizing it or picking up just the center portion pixels. But they may not have the ability to just pull data from a specific set of rows/columns.

We'll get there. Some newer Nikon P&S go to 240fps so 60fps should not be difficult just that they can't or won't on 7K for some technical reason. Probably not in the design target for the market

An appropriate firmware hack would be enabling you to set the aperture of the lens while shooting video. I don't see how you increase the bandwidth of the processor and sensor with a firmware hack. I certainly see how you could enable G lenses to perform to the same capability as conventional Nikkor lenses with regard to aperture control, and hope that Nikon come to their senses on this.

If Nikon would design the D7000 with so many features it would affect sells of their upper level camera bodies.
