I'm don't remember what you do for a living but you might seriously consider doing some photography as at least a supplemental income. Even if you go to a stock system.

Another idea is You also might consider a small system where you hang a few framed photos in restraunts and other bussiness that might be interested with your name and how to contact you. Again Make sure your name and contact information [including how to see more on an internet site] is on the front of the photo or frame.

If you go the internet system make sure you get listed with several of the search engines.

PS I love your work; not just these but almost all of that which you have posted.

Do you do any senics or people??? I don't remember any being posted but I look at thousands of photos a month.

Hi,

Yup, they're among the cheapest you can ever find, but their quality isn't that bad at all. ;) Go gve it a try!

Hector
some people say, that cheap close-ups (i.e. hoya) are s...t, but
when i look at your pics, i see, that this quality is more than
enough for me!
Its the good o' HOYA brand. ;)

Hector
Hi Antena!

Antena I entered the Insect Gallery and wow again man! You mentioned Hoya, can you tell us again what lenses or filters you used pls? You mentioned +2, +3 and +4 I think! Do they have a model number and do they fit on the 35mm to 210mm lens or on the telephoto too?
Regards Antena and all

I had the opportunity to look at both your galleries, the insects as well as your nightshot cityscape shots and I must say Fuji should make you a Fuji Finepix 602z spokesperson. The insects you capture using the close up lenses are great and have to be some of the best photos I seen anyone take using the 602, but your night shots, well what can I say. Your night shots are so rich in color that its not even funny for a person that don't use PS to much to manlipulate the images like some people do. Again job well done and keep up the good work.

Hi Alex,

Thanks!! Oh, I'm using the HOYA close-up filters. They come in +1, +2, +3, +4 and +10 diopter ratings. I'm using the +2 and +4 for most of my insect shots. No, they do not have model number, but they're 55mm in thread size. In short, a +4 is called HOYA 55mm +4 close-up filter.

You'll need a adapter tube 1st to mount the filters on it. The size of the filter will have to match the size of the adapter tube. My adapter tube is 55mm, so I have to get the 55mm filters too.

Btw, you can take a look at this article i posted if you haven't do so. It explains how I take these insects:

Thank you, Mark!

You have some nice macros too. The Hightlighted Bee is my fav. The background and clarity is well done! Pity the bee wasn't facing the correct direction, but keep trying! You can improve more on the composition and background for the other insect shots. Hoep to see more shots from you.

regards
Hector
I love macro and these shots are faultless! You got the right
camera for it!
Take a look at my macro album at http://www.picturetrail.com/freezethemoment
for some that I took with a 6900.
Best wishes,

Antena,

I was just wondering where you got that handwriting font from. Do you use some package for that and the drop shadows, or just do it in Photostop?

Thanks

Mike

Thanks to all again. I think the pictures are back. Maybe something was wrong with the hosting server.

Alex and Michael,

I simply use Photoshop to manually create the border and text. Make a duplicate layer, then gotto Edit > Free transform. Adjust the percentage to around 90-95% so that a border is created. Then go to the Blending Options of the layer and create a drop shadow. The text you just have to manually type in wherever you like.

cheers
Hector!
