Winter is imminent, but before the big darkness falls, September glowed for a while...

Very beatiful scenery Erik (Mjøsa?), and very creative use of your lenses's capability. Jost how much PP is involved here?

Fantastic shots Erik, really inspiring.

You seem to be using tripod a lot, how come? :)

Yes, lake Mjøsa. Close to home you know :)
More facts in the picture narratives at Pbase (and more pics too):
http://www.pbase.com/eaaseth/nature

For PP, just the usual stuff. As the cam is set up in a very conservative/muted way, some optimization/enhancements are done for highlights/shadows/contrast, a tad vibrance/saturation is added, plus sharpening of course. Besides that, nothing.

Setting the cam to mostly -2 for the aforementioned parameters will gain some overall DR, yielding the best starting point for PP. Captures taken in RAW w/ AWB and gamut Adobe RGB.Then I often dial in -0.3 to keep the histogram in place, saving the highlights. In my experience that is the optimal exposure, for having maximum headroom for both contrast and color handling in post.

Thx a lot Marin, so much appreciated! :)

I often prefer a tripod, for maximum control over framing, composition, leveling, and of course DOF, as the shutter speed will never be an issue, even when stopped down to the max.

Another wonderful set. Something to enjoy before the long winter sets in. Nice soft colour to the sky and clouds. Really enjoy the small pond reflection. Very tranquil.
Thanks for sharing
