***** Mini-Challenge 421 - The Golden Hours *****

If you had read my first post you would see that I entered an exhibition shot because I would not be able to host the next challenge due to not being near my computer due to a vacation to the UK. Also having hosted the last challenge, I do not feel I should enter the following one.

I have entered many challenges and am proud to say I have won a few and hosted a few so I am not afraid of the work.

Exhibition shots are encouraged because they show ones support for the Forum and the Challenge.

I see you have only been a member for a couple of weeks so I suppose I should excuse your ignorance of the way things work here on STF and how we all try to get along with each other.

Cheers:

Boy, ask a question, and get the "stupid newb" thrown at you. Never thought this place was so clique-ish. Guess it didn't matter that I answered my own question. Jeesh!

Been here longer than a few weeks.

Oh well.

I better make mine an exhibition entry. I'm hitting deadlines at work, and won't be able to spend much time here for a week or two. Thanks for looking anyway.

Marti58,

Very well done with the first one my choice. The moisture in the air really shows up the shafts of sunlight.

Busch,

Beautiful photo of a very special place. The shadows give a three dimensional effect. Do you have a special laboratory to process your film since digital so dominates photography these days?

Marti58,
Very well composed, exposed and tack sharp. Love the colors in that light.

Diane,

Very nice diverse collection with the first my favorite showing just the reflection of the trees very effective. Those chairs appear to be a very noteworthy, classic design.

Spyderweb,

Welcome to the world of Minis. Your first submittal is very nice with great cloud colors and texture. Don't change a thing in your submittal. I look forward to your other submittals and continued participation.

Bob, this is a rather old picture that I took in 1999 using negative film. I generally had the film developed and printed as the daughter and I traveled throughout the Southwest. When we got home, I had a local shop scan the negatives to CD's.

I recently bought a Plustek scanner and SilverFast and will do a bunch of old slides I have from way back when.
Thanks for looking and your kind words!

Take the scenic route! Life is too short to do otherwise.
