The 18MP sensor combined with the ultra-sharp lens have continued to impress me with IQ. Of course, some critical feedback would be welcome. Thanks.

For me , a little dark , I would lighten up a little in pp . I do like the DOF tho .

Thanks. The original pics should have been properly exposed, by aperture priority and judging from the histogram. However, to my eyes, they were overexposed. My brand new monitor's brightness is at about 50%, so that can't be it.

My pics are often considered "darker". Perhaps my eyes have too little tolerance to brightness.

You have captured the Fall very nicely with these images. And for me, these subtle tones of colours are more effective than the more brilliant ones!

Very nice, I like them.

As I have just got myself a 70-200 f4 IS you have inspired me.

As regards the comment about them being 'dark' I would have to see 'brighter' versions to decide. But then thats just me as I quite like them as they are.

I wondered why the ball kept getting bigger, then it hit me.

I would say that they are plenty bright enough, but could be a little more contrasty, I would adjust the black pint for pop! Some nice tones though, perfectly captures fall.

Thanks for posting your great photos, makes me want to be there.
I’m curious to know what post processing you have done, if any?

These are all captured at the short end of the zoom range; I’d like to see some examples at the other end, 200mm.

I’m considering the purchase of this exact lens to compliment a 15-85mm on a new 60D. Images such as yours compel me to order it today!

Thank you.

The 70-200 excells at any focal length. Here's one example. I can add more later.

I always do some post-processing in LR3, but the pictures from the 70-200 generally require very little. When the image is overexposed in places, I use the awesome graduated filter tool to balance the exposure better. It is also a great too bring back those details that you lost in the overexposure. I tend to turn down the clarity setting from default as I find that too many harsh details can spoil the ambience in the picture. It can also give the picture a bit of dreamy HDR-like look if you turn it down excessively. I really use it a lot, but very subtly. Finally, some sharpening is applied, but again the 70-200 hardly needs any, really. I would strongly recommend the 70-200.

I use this 70-200mm f4L IS along with my 15-85mm lens. To me the 15-85mm lens serves as general purpose walkaround lens & also helps with the wide angle a bit.

The 70-200mm f4L IS is very good. There were days I could not put my camera down as I liked shooting with this lens. At f5.6 this lens is even sharper.

If u shoot a lot indoors, then the f2.8 cud be a better option. But the f2.8 IS version is more expensive. Especially the II version is double the price of f4L IS.

Nevertheless before buying the 70-200mm f4L IS, I read many many forums to see the feedback & experience. I could not find a single review portraying an unhappy experience. That says it all.

Nice pictures. Composition is good. Especially the way you have tried to place the sitting bench in the pictures..

Tks for sharing.

The only thing I could possibly have against it is the loud grinding noise it makes during IS operation, which makes it pretty much useless for handheld video, if you do not use an external mic and want to record live sound. Not sure how the 2.8 version is in this respect. I also had the 70-300L, ultra fast and quiet compared to the 70-200, but slightly less sharp, in my experience. Others report differently.

I like those pics. I've been out searching for bright colors, but this is not a real good year because of extremely wet conditions. You pics have given me inspiation to work with what mother nature is providing.
