Do we laugh or cry?

I do have to admire Sigma for exasperating us (we on the DPreview forums) more than all the other companies put together! I can't wait for the next installment!

Really. Is there any company more stupid and more deserving of ridicule than Sigma? I dont think so.

At least Leica used titanium when they put out their over priced joke of a camera. Titanium is a very pricy metal.

It seems to me that this is a Sigma Germany initiative and cannot be laid at the door of Sigma Japan. My guess is that Sigma Germany have their own good reasons for this, 10 only, limited edition.

Are you saying that Sigma Germany... or Sigma USA... or Sigma Corp from any country... can do whatever they like with a Sigma product, Sigma advertising, or Sigma public relations, and Sigma Japan has nothing to say about it or to do with it? Really? In the end, the responsibility (or irresponsibility... and poor taste) falls on the parent corporation... in this case, Sigma Japan. I highly suspect that Sigma Japan needed to approve this ridiculous use and even more ridiculous pricing of one of their products. If not, Sigma has even bigger problems than I had suspected.

That being said, I am sure there are at least ten people in this world with enough money, poor judgement and abysmal taste to carelessly throw what they probably consider 'chump-change' at an impulse-buy product such as this.

We can only hope that most of them are wearing straight jackets and are locked up in padded cells!
