I bought this lens last year on my visit to the UK,its in minty condition and was in original box etc,it cost the very small sum of 35 uk pounds.Prices have risen since then but i think they can be bought now for between 50-80 in good condition.
I think it performs really well, better than on my K7! Here's a few pic's. Tony.

What K-to-M mount adapter did you use for this? I have been toying with buying the M-mount module for use with some of my K mount lenses as well.

Very impressive. I think you've found a perfect B&W lens and workflow here. I wouldn't even bother with the colour versions!

The brick / iron fence (in color) and the portrait of the older gentleman are probably my favorites out of all the shots I've seen you post. Both definitely keepers.

Art is far superior to "artsy".

I use the novoflex adapter, very nice quality and works beautifully. The 3 lenses i have all give great results. Tony.

Thanks anthony,i was very happy with such results from a "cheap" lens.I included the colour pics as contrast to b-w versions, some people even prefer colour. :-) . Tony.

Tony,

the portrait is more than perfect, love it, the second person makes it even stronger.

thanks for sharing.
Thanks BG,the subject took a picture of me(what a cheek!) ;-) ,so i had to respond in kind.I shall present him with a print next time i see him. Tony.

Yes, I have to agree, the portrait shot is exceptional. I never consider Pentax as an alternative to Leica glass but these and an earlier poster with an almost 3D image taken with by the Pentax Tak100 makes for interersting viewing.

Thanks sed-mal,Pentax do make some very good lenses, particularly the FA Ltds, these will work beautifully on the m-mount.That been said there are loads of SMC/M and Takuma's that are not to be sniffed at,as you have noted. :-) . Tony.

Your portrait character shot is perfect.

The lens is just another one doing the GXR-M proud.
Thanks Tom,the more i use the GXR-M,the more impressed i am.Whatever lens i use on it,it gives very good results.
Can't stop "snappin"at the moment,very addictive little machine. :-) . Tony.
