I guess it is a better deal to be able to get a price match at Ritz but I just thought I would let you know I ordered my S-45 at B&H Photo for $499 plus $11. shipping. I think they are supposed to be reputable dealer. They gave me a FedEx tracking number showing me it is already shipped.

Has anyone received a shipping confirmation from ritzcamera.com. It's been two days since I ordered mine and I still have not confirmed if it was shipped. Their site says in stock so i don understand the delay.

When I ordered my G3 several weeks ago I ordered it on a Thursday afternoon. It arrived the following Tuesday. Actual tracking info didn't appear online until Monday morning. I think this has more to due with UPS than Ritz. I had the same thing happen with a DELL computer purchase.

Sorry, make that YOUR order.

Also, the "$300" worth of extras aren't bundled items like batteries, CF, etc. They include it with every purchase over $100 (I think.) It's mostly a marketing gimmick "$300 worth of extras!" But at least it isn't a bunch of junk you don't want just to jack up a camera in a package deal like so many places do.

Thanks, I called too, and it has not been shipped. Just curious, what shipping method did you use for your purchase.

I suspicious about the free shipping choice they have. SInce nothing is really for free, I wonder if choosing so reduces the ship priority. I would hope it wouldnt since they did claim it was in stock.

My "free shipping included" G3 was shipped via UPS ground. On light weight items like digital cams the actual cost to the shipper when using "ground delivery" is pretty much the same whether they use Fedex or UPS (under $10.) That's why these places that advertise ultra-low prices (so they can appear as having the lowest prices on sites like pricegrabber.com) but then tack on $25-$50 for shipping are cons IMHO.

Onecall.com is canon authorized dealer. You can get it for ~$496
with 3day fedex free shipping. They are getting the cameras and
running out fast. You have to use the promotion code 2hx20 at
the time of checkout. Try bestpriceaudiovideo.com who is also
canon authorized dealer selling S45 for $499 + $12 shipping.
They have them in stock.

I talked to customer service the day I placed my order (Tue). They told me it would ship the next day (Wed - today) and the tracking number would show up under "order status" Wed evening or Thur morning.

Just got my price matched with edigitalcity.com. As someone mentioned they would go as low as 490 (cost + shipping at edigital) but the CSR agreed to reduce the price to $515. I ordered through MSN Wallet resulting in final price of $415. Thanks for all the info folks.

I had placed an order with Harmony several weeks ago. When they still hadn't shipped the camera yesterday (was promised on 12/10) I cancelled and went with Ritz as per the recommedations on this thread. I got the same deal as others, ie $510 and was able to get the $100 MSN deal as well.

I ordered yesterday afternoon from Ritz and had a UPS tracking number by email this morning!

Good for you! Ritz shipped mine out on Monday, but, from somewhere in Kansas and I live in Portland, Oregon. I checked the tracking info this morning and my s45 was in Spokane. I am supposed to get it tomorrow.

Here's wishing the UPS truck a safe overnight journey from Spokane to Portland.

Did you receive an e-mail message from MSN or Ritz indicating that you have received the MSN points? I ordered the G-2 2 days ago and have yet to receive an e-mail about the MSN dollars. When I purchased a memory card from circuit city, I received an e-mail about the MSN dollars immediately.

Thanks for your feed back guys. This really makes me mad. I called Ritz yesterday, and the CSR said that the MSN dollars would show up once the camera was actually shipped. I called again today, and the CSR said that it was shipped today. Still, no MSN e-mail!

I am going to call and tell them that if I don't get the e-mail, I'll refuse to accept delivery.

did you click the MSN Wallet ordering button at the Ritz web site. I can also see my points listed on MSN site. you should check with MSN guys as well

Steve,

i purchased my G3 from there and also purchased my CP990 from Ritz 2 years ago. their extended warranty is top notch. it covers everything. no bs. you can actually drop the camera in store and they will fix it or replace it. having that piece of mind helped me make my purchasing decision.
