The option you need is to tell Safari Which cookies to block - not what to accept. On Intel MacPro SnowLep I can't stop Safari from accepting cookies. Tried all options in prefs. Any ideas much appreciated.
I don't know about Lion, but it is possible that Private Browsing allows the computer to accept cookies but then deletes them, no matter how the options in preferences are set. There is also a "Private Browsing..." option in the Safari menu.
Agree, and I also think earlier versions of Safari were much more straightforward about cookie management. But still not as good as Firefox-which has a few other charms going for it as well. I generally use Safari, but Firefox comes in handy many times for reasons irrelevant to the OP, so I'll not go on...Try Firefox! I think it has better control of cookies and history that any other browser.
It's also free.

Hello Will-there has been a recent change in DPR forum behavior regarding Safari-I haven't checked it with other browsers.I found that this site will not allow posting unless cookies are accepted though.
