I was wondering for all you that own a D60 if anyone has tried printing a 20 X 24 or larger and how were the results.

Not many, but some. They look great - RAW file at 100 ISO and a sharp lens (28-70L) on tripod was the source, converted to TIFF, some basic processing, and off to the printer. Considering the typical viewing distance for a 20x30", the picture is very fine. Clearly, you will see pixels up close and personal, but only photographers look at a picture that close =)

Have a couple of great 20x30s from Ofoto.com. One started as a HQ jpg and the other went from RAW to TIFF to JPG. From farther away than one inch they are perfect.

This one printed with a perfect sky, no gradients or lines or anything.

Maybe my D60 meters correctly and it is me that is overexposed???

I've printed quite a few 24x36 of pictures shot handheld and could hardly notice the difference from the 8x10 proofs even when viewed up close. The files were jpeg fine and were upressed with Genuine fractals and printed directly from PS onto an Epson 7600.

I've printed some as well directly using QIMAGE (Lanczos upressing) and the results were also superb.

Thanks for the information. I'm considering purchasing the D60 with either the 28-80mm L or the 24-70mm L , my first SLR camera.

it was 18 shots stitched together and came out great

I used Qimage for upsizing
