Hello, yes there is a 3 stop hard grad there - most of the photos I take I am not really interested in "reality" as such and as you noticed (and you're completely correct) the sky is darker. A 2 stop would have been more "realistic". The photograph is still exposed well - the water has detail in it even at the brightest point in the centre - not all monitors will display that but the histogram is more or less dead on the money. A chap on flickr who is a woodturner in scotland - Angus Clyne does this all the time and his work is stunning so I guess I've taken inspiration from him - you should check him out.Nice job, very sharp. Thanks for sharing. Do you mind if I ask what processing you did? Or if you used a grad filter? The water looks either overexposed or just quite a bit brighter than the sky, and it's typically the other way around. Just curious to your setup! Thanks in advance!
