Hi All,

I'm doing some serious searching for some options on shift glass and these little gems can be had for under $400. But I have yet to find info on if they will adapt to a Canon body via adapter. Anybody know if these can be successfully mounted on a FF EOS body without modification?

It is a Nikon F-mount. Just get a Nikon F-mount to Canon EF adapter.

I assumed so. Some Nikkors (AI lenses I believe) have aperture levers that need modifying. I don't think this lens has one. Just verifying. If this lens will work, it's going on the short list for future purchases.

Unfortunately, I've come accross a fair number of the older Nikon lenses that will not mount using a adapter due to interference of features on the lens. If you can't find out for sure, get a adapter to try with it, or ask for return rights. In most cases, you can grind off the offending parts of the lens.

I have owned a 28mm PC Nikkor lens since some time in the 1980s, and have adapted it for various camera bodies., none of them made by Nikon.

When I first got the lens, I removed the Nikon mount and attached in its place a custom made Pentax screw mount. I used it with Pentax Spotmatic bodies, and it worked just fine.

When I changed to Canon F-1 bodies (manual focus FD mount) I just screwed on a Canon 'Lens Mount Converter P' and all was well. Now I use the same lens on Canon digital SLRs with a Pentax screw mount to Canon EF mount adapter with a focus confirmation chip.

I can't see why you should not use a Nikon F to Canon EF adapter. The 28mm PC Nikkor is a completely manual lens with no control interlinks between lens and body. It works just fine on a Canon DSLR, though it is slightly less convenient to use than a Canon TS lens, because of the lack of automatic aperture control.
