Cube Houses inspired by LeCorbusier.......

Actually the Rietveld house is not in Amsterdam, but in Utrecht. It's funny to see that the adjacent "old" houses were built after the modernistic Rietveld house.

oh dam
Im misinformed

I was staying with an artist lady in Hellevoetsluis who had an identical chair as can be found in that house, I was sure she said Amsterdam

oh well... apologies
At one point, my wife Els Vanassche (google her) had a number of her paintings on show in Hellevoetsluis in the gallery of an artist couple. Can't remember the name -- maybe because none were sold... ;-)
How many artist ladies live in such a relatively small town?
as I found out, more than a few
but for what its worth, her christian name is Heidi, she has long red hair
red hair is a little rare out there

any similarity to persons living or dead is coincidental and unintended

I don't recall any red hair, so it must have been one of the other lady artists...

Roel first thanks for looking at my images. In my answer to Brad Ross I've explained the circumstances I took those shots and as they all are taken through a dirty window from a moving Trolley, the situation could be named as tricky. So yes I've done a lot of PP work to make them decent looking. Anyway I realize that it could be better. Thanks for your thoughts Roel, I do appriciated it very much.

I had seen pictures of these before, but I have never seen them myself.

Of your pictures, I like the third one best, because of its concentration on the subject itself, without any distractions.

You could say the other buildings serve as contrast, but I like the simplicity of just the Cubes. We all know how other buildings look like, is a bit the reasoning behind my view that no contrast is needed.
Hope that makes sense.
