First attempts at SX230

Have been trying out SX230 and so far am pleased with colors and sharpness. Need to figure out a bit more so I can take it out of auto ! The last shot is with my Sony DSLR and I was surprised the Canon was so much sharper (blame it on the 18-250 lens?)

Anyway I do not like the SX230, I returned mine... basically all the pictures look lifeless..

I enjoy using my SX220. My only real problem with it is that the battery life is not very good.

Not sure what you mean by lifeless....so far I've found the colors true and vivid and am pleased with it's close-up ability.

Plan to use the SX230 as my pocket travel camera.....definitely need a charged spare battery although NOT using GPS is a help.

Could you post a photo that you think has "life", please, so that we know what it is that you mean? Just colour saturation? Or something more?
