When I am composing a shot with the lcd screen on my G2, in bright sunlight or shiny artificial light, there are streaks (of light) running vertically on the lcd screen. These streaks of light do not show up on the actual pictures but are a pain because it makes it difficult to see what you are trying to shoot.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Would this be a possible defect?

Thanks,

kchang

This is just a normal thing..It's because the suns rays are being defracted..Just the way the small screen in made.

Get an LCD shade so that you can use the LCD in bright sunlight. Other than that, you might want to try rotating the LCD so its facing out of the sun.

That's normal. It's an effect of how the CCD chip works. Intersting note... rotate the camera and the lines stay perpendicular to the camera, so this gives away the fact that it's not an optical effect.

This also occurs at night with artificial light. Do you have the same line effects on yours? (assuming you also have a G2).
