See http://www.fotosurf.nl/crops/ for some comparison shots made with QV-4000 and QV-57000. These are crops from testcard shots.

I think this proves that Casio has left the 'agressive noise reduction' system they used for the QV-4000.
You will see more noise and more sharpness in the QV-5700 crops.

The page might take some time to load, the crops are saved with 98 % quality.

Your samples are not showing
Pity as I have yet to see one sharp QV5700 photo posted that was not a macro .

I would, on the basis of your efforts, rate the QV5700 iso 50 as better than the G3 iso 50. More detail, looks more natural.

I can't tell much from your shots .
The full resolution QV5700 photos others have posted are more useful .

They show the 5700 produces soft less detailed images compared to the Olympus 5050 due to either noise reduction or the lens / ccd combination . The artifacting mentioned in the review of the QV4000 is also apparent. You have to wonder why Canon haven't used 5mp chips with this lens ( they could have easily popped it into the G2 body ) ?

The full resolution photos posted also seem to have more ca and blown out highlights than the Qv4000 , which is logical .
