i recently purchased the ls443 and on some shots of people the faces are very washed out and too bright. any clues on how to fix this, what controls should i adjust.

basically the face gets over exposed.. as a general rule droping the exposure will get the face right but at the expense of everything else being slighly under exposed.. photography is very often a compromise.. but its more important to get the bits that matter correct.. in the case u mention its the face..

This camera rocks.

HOT TIP: Go to your camera menus, find "Exposure Metering and change to "Center Weighted". Find ISO Setting, take it off AUTO and use ISO 100. You may also want to change the "Focus Zone" to CENTER ZONE.

thanks louis Ill try it and see if its any better. i have only had this camera a week, but the picture quality is often questionable for what i was expecting. focus is often blurred. also when in video mode on a 128 card it stopped after a minute and told me the card was too slow. do you think would the card effect my pic quality also. sorry bout all the ?s

for those that knock kodak saturated colour.. this problem would be
worse without it..
It's even better to be able to not have the problem, or to have the option of more saturated color if you want to.
