Does anyone know if Sony will be offering refurbished A77?

I think a better question will be how cheap will the Canon's get on ebay when everyone dumps them to buy an a77?

Regarding a-mount cameras. There were a lot of early mechanical failures with the KM7D, and KM just provided replacements rather than delaying for repairs. So eventually there were a lot of factory refurbished KM7D available for about 1/2 the original price. That's how I got mine.

I waited hopefully for Sony to do the same with the A700, but any refurbished ones I could find were only sold at Sony outlet stores (couldn't find any on-line) in certain areas.

Sorry for the serious answer.

I think many people will be disappointed and return the A77 and Sony must sell them as refurbished.
An odd question from someone who usually frequents the Canon forums - or is it?

LOL
If half the rumors are true then the A77 will be the finest APS-C camera ever made - so, yeah, tons of disappointed purchasers... you may have to wait 2 or 3 years to get a refurbished model, but there will be just buckets of them... I'm sure...

;)

Outside of the sensor shaking thing and the shutter, there's not a whole lot of mechanical things inside an SLT. Maybe the flash popping thing, or perhaps one of the knobs or buttons... hmmm... things to consider.
