7Hi gallery update

Stunning colors! What profile did you use? - Jean Ricket
Thanks. I used "vivid" sRGB in the 7Hi and post-processed some
color boost in Photo-Brush image editor.

I've been suffering from and old CRT monitor. Just put on a
new NEC 97F and now think those colors were over-done.

Fwiw,, Microcenter is selling the NEC 97F 19" flat monitor for $129
after rebate. After looking at this for only 30 mins, its a great value.
Not sure what color temp to set it at (8300,7500,6500). It also has
individual R,G,B brightness settings, which I won't touch (yet).

Set it on a white screen and toggle between them until you have a true white screen (as opposed to blueish or yellowish). The color temp is designed to compensate for your ambient lighting.

all, thanks for the comments. Shane/cat5 I just cycled through
the color temp settings with a white screen and kept the 6500
value. Your suggestion makes good sense, thanks. The
mixture of responses on my over-done colors leads me to conclude
my "orlando" gallery pics typically have over-saturated colors.
Also, that a few folks have low gamma CRT monitors, like my old
one, where the colors are not as objectional. Bob
