Dynamic Range of a Photocopier?

Here you have to examples one is velvia one is provia, i used the bracketing function just to check it out. As you can see one is perfect regarding dynamic range everything is visiible both in the shadows and the bright scenes (clouds) that is the provia the othe is velvia and both the shadows and clouds aren´t that good. I prfer provia because I think velvia is simply a steeper tonecurve and the dynamic range suffer from that.

I shall also do further test with provia and set the color mode to soft because I have heard that it will deliver the most accurate colors. They might look a litlle soft but after one can change it in postproducrion. Maybe there is also a bit of exta dynamic range if you do that.

To be perfectly frank that is a horrible image, bad lighting circumstances, and little actual detail to be captured even if the lighting were better. No camera could do a good job with this photo.
