We went in mid-May. Posted elsewhere, but I love to show off:

Thanks! Sure was a nice vacation.

\#1 is very impressive... is that from behind a waterfall? melting ice? fog / sunbeams? Can't quite figure out what is causing those whitish streaks, but I like it!

Cheers

Thanks for the kind input!

The waterfall shot is super simple. It is on the popular (too popular!) Emerald Pools trail. One of the trails goes under a long overhang behind the waterfall. The biggest problem is cropping out all the other hikers!

Very nice.. I love the foggy natural arch with the tree in the foreground.. great shot!

Thanks! Man, I really lucked out that day. We were staying in Zion, but the weather was supposed to turn rainy so I drove to Bryce.

The weather was much "worse" at Bryce Canyon and we got a little dusting of snow and lots of fog. It was just surreal and burned off in a couple of hours. Loved it!

Funny, some of my favorite photos over the years were taken in "bad" weather.

Very inspirational - I was stuck with a Nikon p100 superzoom when I went - so want to go back with good gear, and a better eye...like yours!

Thanks! It really helped this time to bring a FF camera and a wide angle lens. Hard to miss in such a beautiful environment.

Thanks! Just wanted to show off--again.

Yeah, we have to save up all year to spend a week or two someplace nice. Worth it, though.

Thanks! Yeah, I was thrilled when I first saw the dusting of snow, but that surreal fog was a real treat! Usually Bryce's primary colors are so brilliant it almost hurts the eyes.

The only downside was that park management closed the trails that day. I don't know why; they were just a little soggy.

Thanks! They are delightful, low stress places to visit.

Some of my other favorite vacation locations have become a huge headache and expense over the years, darn it. Especially Yosemite.

Number three is my pick of the litter; really a gorgeous capture!
