Hi!

I have the Targus DL80P flash compatible with Auto-TTL for my E-P1 camera.

I can select focal lengths between 28mm and 85mm on the flash. Am I correct that this corresponds a range between 14mm and 42,5mm on M43 cameras?

So, If I use flash with the Panny 20mm, I should select 40mm on the flash?

BR,
Peter

Suggest you ask the "manufacturer"...although I am fairly certain that the 28mm to 85 mm is the full frame equivalent focal length.

Although this really looks like another version of the ubiquitous Hong Kong based Icorp product that makes the same unit for Bower, Cullmann, Digital Concepts, Dörr, Jessops, Opteka, Rokinon, Sakar, Soligor, Vivitar, and of course, Targus

The E-P1 user guide says "Use a flash with an illumination angle that matches the focal length of the lens. The focal length of the lens for 35mm is approximately twice as long as the focal length of lenses designed for this camera". Well, it's probably up to the flash manufacturer to choose how to mark the flash..I think the customer should not need to think about these things - it should be marked clearly...

I guess that the range 14-42.5mm is more realistic than the range 28-85mm for a relaitvely small flash such as the Targus DL80P.....
