How do you post pictures so the picture is full height and expands horizontally? I only have an option to post from the gallery which makes a small picture that you double click on..... alot of people have a large picture embedded in their post... how do they do that?

If you upload a "larger " picture to your gallery , the same "larger' picture will be transfered to your post when you attach it via the "add a gallery photo to message " box ( above your post )..... Once in your post , you might need to double click on it until it is fully loaded at its larger size.

If you don't like the way the Dpreview gallery display works, you can upload your image to some external hosting service. Then simply paste a direct link to the external image, like this.

If you want to post a much larger image, it's considered polite to instead post a link rather than embedding the image. You do this by adding a semicolon ; directly after the lin; it will look like this:
http://www.pbase.com/peter_k/image/110936309/original.jpg

Some external hosting is free (e.g. flickr, picasa web albums), mostly the paid services offer more flexibility and facilities.

Regards,
Peter

The two other posters have shown how to do it.

It might help to 'Quote' their messages, so you can see how their images look while typing a post. Also it shows how a link should look.

For instance. I use the free site Photobucket (as my links prove). They offer 4 different links:
'embed in mail'

(does not work)
direct link

(Only one that does work. Starts with http: and ends with .jpg)
Html-code:

(nice when you have your own site and you're working with HTML, useless on this site)
IMG-code:

Koolmeesje_001_Cropped.jpg

(works on some other forums, but not here)

again: choose 'quote' to view the code of my message

All in my humble opionion of course!

If I seem to talk nonsense or you can't understand me, it's probably my English :)
