Now those who oppose photography in "Public Places, " at last, at last have a case that backs them up... :D

Female Magistrate Accused Of Photographing Men At Public Urinals

Rhonda Hollander, a female traffic magistrate in South Florida, apparently believes she has the right to walk into men’s public bathrooms and photograph them while urinating because the bathrooms are, well, public.

The attorney obviously missed the section of the law stating it is illegal to photograph people who have an expectation of privacy.

According to the South Florida Sun Sentinel.

A man named Willie Jackson Jr., of Tamarac, said Hollander snapped a picture while he prepared to use a urinal in the courthouse at 100 N. Pine Island Road in Plantation. She took a picture of another man as he entered the bathroom, according to the (arrest) report.

When Broward Sheriff's Deputy Darlene Harden confronted Hollander a short time later, the magistrate admitted taking a picture but refused to turn over her phone, arguing that it was a public restroom and she was not violating any laws, according to the report.

Sigh...I wish people would actually use their brains and common sense rather than try and find loop-holes to prove a point.

I thought a magistrate was supposed to be intelligent? Guess I was wrong.

So I can go into the ladies room & take pictures since it's public. Hmmm, I wonder what the jail food is like?

Well. maybe not. I'm waaaaaay to old fashioned to take advantage of the opportunity...

What was this woman thinking. "Let me see, I'm allowed to take pictures in public, this is a public place, Bingo!!! I can finally meet guys the old fashioned way, photographing their .... :)

To be frank, I would not be able to make use of the facilities while my picture was being taken... :(

I posted this to give those who aren't happy with US law about public photopgraphy a chance for them to finally have a good case. :D

Only because you were not in the Public bathroom. You were in the private executive suite... :(

Judges only... :(

Can't help but ponder on what was going on here. 'While he prepared to use the urinal' is an interesting turn of phrase. Leaves me wondering about both his and her technique. So far as preparations go, myself I'm an 'unzip, pull' man, but I know there are afficionados of the 'undo belt, undo clasp, unzip, lower, pull' technique. Either she's a mistress of the grab shot ( :) ) or else he was one of the latter. If so, that technique probably uses 20 or 30 seconds preparation time, so one wonders how come he didn't notice her there before she took the shot? Maybe she was hiding in a cubical and suddenly leaped out and snapped (or, if it was dark, maybe flashed). It has to be something like that, since you'd think like a sensitive flower like Willie would not even have started the countdown if he's seen a lady with a camera poised in readiness there in the bog. Myself, I'd have used the opportunity for some C&C, but not everyone sees it that way, I understand.

Well, I "judged" it to be appropriate behavior, so where's the problem? :D
Yes, and drawing the smiley face on it clearly showed it was intended humourously.

Where she got her inspiration. I'm sure Great Bustard is a "smooth talker," and explained the , err law, to the Judge. Apparently he inspired her.

Obviously that's the answer . Finally, she figures she can get some feedback on indoor shooting, under, err, difficult conditions. Moreover there's always the problems of freezing water to be kept in mind. Long or slow exposers... :(

(I'll stop while I'm a head...)

Yes, I "laid out the law" very plainly. She had a very good hold on it. :D

The really bad thing is that she is a Judge deciding on punishment.

Some people pay good money for that, you know. ;)
Yes indeed, some people have a peculiar idea of what "Justice" is. A good whipping!!!

Perhaps some of these people in the John, were about to appear before her and she wanted to do a preliminary check on whether they needed a fine or "Justice?"

Judges can make deals you know... :)

Truly a "plea bargain."... :D
