*** The Weekly Close Up 4th of July***

You know your handling on that 70-300mm ZD!!! Great captures..!!!....I've been using the 70-300mm paired up with the Raynox 150 and it just killed my need for one of the sigmas (105 or 150).......

Don't know why we bother, I was just thinking what great set of pictures had been posted when along you come and blow us all out of the water. Yet another stunning Macromedia shot

The 150-DCR is 1.5X mag/4.8 diopters giving you some pretty good macro results with the 70-300mm. The combo is so good that I no longer have a lust for either one of the Sigmas.

the 150 would probably give you a bigger DOF when snapped on a Panny. Thank you for the comments, Trevor!!!!!!!...........

The dragonfly shots are magnificent!!!!!!!!!!!.........

... but not too far away. Rich

Pacific Northwest fog drops. Both shot with E5 and ZD 50-200 with EC 14 at 283 mm.

Blackberry flower just starting to set fruit.
E5 with ZD 50 mm macro.

Dandy lion.
E5 with ZD 50 mm macro

Here's a close up of The Sun; as in, 93 million miles is plenty close for me.
E5 with ZD 50-200 at 200mm.

In a rather dense and hostile vegetation with nettles up to 1,5 meters in height i spotted this little damselfly. A female Common Spreadwing cllinging to a straw. When I got too near she flew away a little but then posed for some more shots.
I used my E30 with Sigma 150mm and a monopod.

Those two set ups have become my bread and butter in macro. To the point that I have to kinda force myself to use the rest just to stay in practice.

Some nice results Trevor, I find myself using the 70-300 more than my 50-200 its a very versatile lens.
