S5 Rally pic

Hi James,

Nice pic, looks like tons of fun. But, I've seen some hairy moments at those events, not sure I'd want to be that close to the vehicles. It would be nice to give it a try though.

Thanks for posting.

Regards,

Mark

Thanks for the comments....the biggest problem with photographing rally cars in Scotland is not the low light within the forest, or getting close enough to the cars...but midges. You come away with so many bites that your skin become sore the touch, and they are immune to any type of repellant.

The first shot was taken with an 80-200mm, at the long end so I was about 10 feet or so from the car. This shot was taken with a 17-55mm, from roughly 2-3 feet away.

James

Greetings!

Car seem to be same state of the art as the Fujfilm S5 is...

...but both seem to be doing very well ;0)
The "age" does not change that the camera works (as did my F30 too - until the shutter broke) - but the sample picture could have been done with any modern compact camera - like a Panasonic LX5 (I do own too) - so what I wanted to express with my 1st post is that there is nothing special to be seen, that's all.

kind regards,
