Lightzone not working after latest Mac and Java update

Just updated to 10.6.8 and Java SE6. Now LightZone wont start up no more. An error message comes up saying Lightzone has encountered an internal error. The string shows it's some sort of problem with the latest Java update. Any one else experiencing this??

there's an ongoing discussion evolving as we speak. as far as i can tell from the evidence available to me, it's actually an Apple problem.

Mine is broken too since the last Java update. Hopefully one party or the other will fix this soon.

Hope you get it resolved soon. LZ staff seems to be friendly and not arrogant like Adobe. I tried LZ and didn't have enough time to really test it properly. I emailed the staff and they gave me an extension on the trial. Though it wasn't for me considerate support and unique features are worth a look at for many Aperture and LR users.

i have to counsel waiting to trial or purchase for mac to see if a fix is possible for LZ. LZ is a Java based program, because as a small company it was the only way they could do it cross platform, windows, mac and linux.

my hope is, because they aren't the only product out there threatened, the mac community and maybe Apple(although i rather doubt it, looking at their actions and announcements) will ferret out some possible solutions for those softwares affected. LZ may be the least of them, in terms of users. and it's not just Java, but Rosetta, too.

Light Crafts has issued LightZone 3.9.2 for Macs to fix this issue.

How do I download this update? The only link I can find on the website is the one for the trial download. Thanks. I didn't get an email from Lightcrafts with a link and I did try to register to post on their forums last week but so far haven't gotten a response.

If you have the previous version of LZ (3.9) it will show you a message when you start it up telling you there is a new version and it will give you the option for downloading it.

I just tried to open Lightzone and got an "internal error" but no offer to update to the latest version. Is there some magical incantation I should perform first? ;)
