recommendations: responsive compact?

Looking for the community's wisdom. Had a Fuji F200 die on me and looking for a replacement compact. My top priority is for responsiveness -- quick startup and low shutterlag. IQ is second, but I don't need big prints. Zoom and movies are not important. So what's top out there for responsiveness?

Panasonic Lumix LX-5. It may be more expensive than most, but its' performance matches or beats much bigger cameras like Canon's G12 or Nikon's P7000 (for example) and is much smaller than either.
