Really like those iron horse shots. It would be great to see some pictures of the roundhouse in action.

We just had a 120-mile regional railroad rebuilt with more than $100 million in federal money. It had been closed for several years and a friend and neighbor may get his old job back with it. I'm going to encourage him to go into training to be an engine driver.

A very wonderful series! Steam has a tremendous fasination for me!

I'm lucky in that we have a living, working roundhouse and a weekly train very nearby.

very nice, Bill. hanks for sharing. I Love the old steam engines, nothing like hearing that steam whistle blow. Give you goosebumps! Has such a lonesome sound.
Wish I could go see those.
 
Beautiful and nostalgic photos

Thanks to beautiful photos like these is that I understand fans of model railways.

I'd like to make a big scale model with all this beautiful details (but it takes too much space, time and money).
Like you, I prefer shooting picts.

Thanks. I dod have a relative who used to make all his own train buildings including cutting his own tiny shingles for roofs!
I'll stick to shooting with the cameras

Stop posting these good images, you are going to be the cause of me seriously looking at the HX100 LOL. You could be the reason for a divorce in the Rex Household LOL. Great series, now stop showing off LOL.
