Yeah, I'm sure the subject line caught your attention. So did this picture while I was doing some high speed photography with my CP5700.

What should I name him?

Wonderful shot Richard.

I am a pilot and the snail is my squadron's icon.(actually we are the quickest and most dangerous snails on earth :))

Can you email me the original? I think it would give an excellent wallpaper for the squadron's computer...

Or you can teach me how to do one :)

if u don't mind you will find me on [email protected]

If you right click on the photo, there is an option to save it as background on your computer, plus other options. It automatically becomes your deskbop background.

You probably should get the owner's permission first, but if you are not using it for commercial purposes, I don't know if that is necessary.

Anyone out there have any ideas about that?.>

There is no commercial purpose on the shot.

I understand what you are saying about the owner's permission but If Richard emailed me the pic i would have considered that i could use it for the purpose shown on previous post.
(Maybe with the original I could crop the snail and enlarge to fill the monitor)

CHALLANGE NO. 8 - Do it again!

great shot...!

As for the rights to use it - i see no problem for personal use, because by publishing it on the net - he pretty much states it can be used for that anyway - as long as it isnt modified without his consent, or used for comercial purposes - and as long as his name is always attributed to it - it should be ok...unless otherwise stated with the picture...

--VERY nice shot you got there! I've been thinking about trying
this with my 995, though I can't imaging getting a result this nice.

Yes, everyone's correct. Once I've posted it without any copyright info, anybody can use it. I'd be more than happy to share it. Here's a link for the full size, out of the camera original:

This needs some work to clean it up. I did a Fred Miranda filter (ISO200 Normal+ES) first and then played with brightness and contrast. If you'd like that version, let me know. Oh, my goodness. It looks like he's even smiling!
