Hi Everyone,

I've been the proud owner of a Nikon D7000 for the past 4 months. I LOVE this camera. However, I am constantly frustrated by the lack of warmth in my pictures as compared to my friend's Canon 60D DSLR.

Some people might argue that Canon takes an "unnatural" picture because the colors are richer and the Nikon is more "true", but I find this very frustrating. I don't have the time or motivation to post-process all my pictures to warm them up.

Is this a common experience among other Nikon users? Perhaps there is a camera setting in my D7000 that I can adjust to improve the color warmth of my pictures?

Thanks!

You can adjust the picture controls as has been said. If you use Capture NX2, you can also make custom picture controls and add them to the ones already in your camera.

This is crazy..

Canon users actually complain most often that Nikon cameras are "too warm"!
There are RAGING debates about why oh why is Nikon so red throughout this site.

lol... I guess no one is right in the world of subjectivity.

I believe there is an Auto2 WB you can chose to get warmer colors. I'm not sure how much different it will be, but you could always try it. You need to go into the menu to change Auto WB to Auto2.
