Hi.

First post here on dpreview.

Been reading these forums for the last six months now and decided it was time to join :)

I've owned the Canon 60D for about two months now, and I must really say that I enjoy every bit of using this camera.

I used to have a Canon 350D when that came out, but unfortunately I was dumb enough to sell it and had since been shooting with semi-compact cameras.

For a loooooong time I've been wanting to get back into dSLR photography, and I finally took the step and bought some new gear.

Due to a lot of work lately I haven't been able to go out and photograph as often as I would like to, but I've been out a couple of times and would like it if you guys would be so kind as to c & c some of my pictures? :)
These are all taken with the SamYang 8mm fish-eye.
The images are HDR renders with after adjustments made in Lightroom 3.

The first one is a shot from Copenhagen Central station:

The second one is also from Copenhagen Central station, showing the escalators going down/up to/from the train platforms:

The last one is a shot towards the planetarium in Copenhagen:

Hey really good job on the pics. I'm really not a big fan of HDR. It always looks a bit fake to me, but these are great. Love the first especially. It's composed well, love the wide angle and the B&W goes a long way to making it more natural. When I saw it I immediately thought of an HR Giger painting!

That first one looks like an illustration more than a photo - but it works!

Really like the 1st image, very striking.

2nd & 3rd I like, the colours epecially, but not sure on the amount of curvature on the last image, I think it'd look more appealing (to me at least) if it was more level.

Really nice shots! I like all of them.

Post more like this!

I really like the first one also. what lens were you using?

Forget the question, I don't know how I missed it. Look's like a fun lens to experiment with!

Wow, thank you so much for all the nice comments! :)

The Samyang is a fun little lens to use and it's really a steal at that price.

Of course the optical quality ain't on par with L series lenses but still it's able to produce some nice images.

All of these photos were taken on the very first day of me owning the lens, and I really wanted to try out the extortion of the lens when I took the photo of the planetarium.

I will probably go out tonight and take some more photos as I don't have to work for a couple of days - I'll make sure and post some of them afterwards! :)

Once again thank you for all the nice comments :) As I'm just starting out with photography again it's nice to hear some feedback on my photographs.

Stay tuned for more!
