I bought a D7000 couple of day's ago, and my sigma 10-20 and 70-200 don't focus in live view. Is there a solution for this? I have ask Sigma but have no answer. I have see that got this problem, no solution?

same with my 10-20. it would need a rechip from sigma, there's no other solution for this problem, but if sigma has no new firmware ready there's not much one can do. on the 10-20 it doesn't bother me, as i can easily manual focus, but it would certainly be annoying with a 70-200

My Sigma 180 macro does not work at all on my D7000 so its on its way back to Sigma who said that a firmware upgrade may do the trick,If not it will need a new chip
which will cosy about $110

I have several third party lenses
Tamron 70-300 VC works in live view
Tokina 35f/2.8 works in live view
Tokina 12-24 II Does Not Work in live view
Tokina 50-135 f/2.8 will will work in live view

Some lenses work, others do not. The 12-24 isn't that big a problem as depth of field is large enough to cover MINOR focus errors.

I had the same problem with my 50mm F1.4 Sigma lens on my D7000, I talked to technicians at Sigma USA and told me to send them the lens and they will do a firmware update. It just cost me the shipping costs to send them the lens, nothing else. Now the lens works in liveview how it should, though I am skeptical on how well the D7000 focuses.
