Help me decide A55 vs T3i vs D7000

I'll make it easy for you:

Buy the D7000 (unless you intend to mount legacy adapted manual focus lenses on your camera in the future). Otherwise buy the T3i. If shooting movies with auto focus is a requirement then buy the A55.
OK, i'm ordering this tonight.

The D7000 is the most expensive but all the cameras are in my price range and price is not a consideration for me between these 3.

Things I like

1. Good low light performance ( I think all the cameras should do well but I think the D7000 has the slight edge here right?)

2. Articulating LCD (Canon and Sony have the edge here)

3. Good Movie mode (am I correct in assuming that the Sony is the best bet here because of phase detection autofocus during movie mode?) I've heard that the D7000 is better than the T3i here so I guess its Sony > Nikon > Canon for this.

4. Performance (this is where I'm unclear from the reviews.) The Sony review is old but they state that the performance is good. Anyone compared these head to head? Which camera has the quickest most accurate autofocus? Which camera has the best shot to shot times? Which camera feels the most responsive in operation like reviewing shots.

My plan is to get the body only and then get the Tamron 17-50 2.8 and the Sigma 70-200 2.8

I prefer EVF because it is what you see is what you get and not just glass. However, they appear darker in bright outdoor light than some OVFs. There is no "traditional viewfinder", meaning an optical viewfinder. On film SLRs the viewfinders were very large and very bright. My E620 is one of the small tunnel-vision type optical viewfinders.

Compared to that, the EVF is large but more difficult to see in bright light. I wear a cap to shield the sun from my eyes. I should say, though, that I wear glasses so I have a lot more light leak than people who don't wear glasses when using a camera.

On the flip side, though, EVFs ramp up in dark conditions so in general you can see better indoors with an EVF than an OVF.
What is it like to shoot outdoors with a viewfinder like the Sony's, compared to a traditional viewfinder?

IMHO it's a no-brainer: Sony A55!

I've had an A900 for two years and now also an A55 ( back-up, travell ). The A900 is experiencing more shelf time now... I just love the small size/low weight of the A55 coupled with its excellent IQ and multitude of ( quite useable ) features. Of course the A900 will give me a higher resolution, fantastic IQ at lower ISOs and robustness, although at a much heftier size/weight, so it's not a direct comparison, but the little A55 is really impressive!

I wear glasses and have no more problems with the A55 than I did the Nikon D90, Canon 20D, Canon 7D or the Canon 700. The electronic ones are getting much better and they offer some nice advantages like being able to see the exposure the image will have before you shoot.
