things to check on new camera?

It appears I was right (judging by your flickr snapshots)!

Funny how you have to resort to insults when your manhood doesn't stand up! :P

And your camera skills are lacking . . .

I guess it is true when they say that you Brits don't understand humor!
flickr snapshots
HAHA! Yeah, snapshots... At least I'm showing off what I've taken, your work seems absent from the internet. Didn't get any keepers from your years in photography huh? Oh well, keep shooting, I'm sure it'll happen one day... :P

I see the two shots you thought were worthy of sparing from the delete key didn't fair very well in the challenges... I've got no winners yet either but A: Have scored more / better than you and B: I've been into photography about a year, about 1/20th of your experience. Are you sure your camera was actually working? Switched on? 20 years in photography with broken camera... You should'a checked it worked first man!

I can assure you there's nothing wrong with my humour-chip. But no, I really can't tell if you're being serious/malicious/joking or what through the text you're writing. It's considered good net etiquette to add smilies where necessary to indicate the tone of the writing.

Two things . . .
  • One . . .
No need to be such a sourpuss!

And no need to feel jealous of someone who was actually in the business for years and made a pretty good living at it!
  • Two . . .
Gee . . . I didn't know it was a requirement of the internet for anyone owning a camera to have a website showing their images!

For your information, I have posted literally hundreds of images here over the years in posts.

Probably way more than you have on your entire flickr account!

And you don't have to dig very deep into my posting history to find them!

They are right there for all the world to see.

I have absolutely no reason to have a photographic oriented website since I'm retired from the biz, so I choose to store them on my own webspace and post them when and where I want to.

I have complete control over them . . . if I want to, I can turn them off in a matter of seconds so nobody can see them!

As for the challenges . . . good for you that you feel the need to enter them!

I never enter the challenges . . . matter of fact, I never even look at them!

The only reason I did those two were because the challenge thing was brand new at the time and I posted them in the challenge just because it was new.

I have no need for self gratification by joining the challenges here . . ..

I think you need to go back and reread my first post in this topic thread . . .

Perhaps then you will see the smileys that were indeed there (and still are).

And yes, my whole first post was intended to be a joke, and you were the only one here who didn't see it that way.

So what does that tell us all?

Oh . . . by the way . . . here is one of my pictures for you:
