A few questions about using the X100 with Ipad.

How well does the uploading to IPAD work? Did you just upload into Iphoto? ...do you have to install finepix viewer on Ipad first? Is there some way to view the current image on Ipad, realtime?

Works pretty well. Just take a look at this video:

Fast forward to 2:22 to see the details on how to select photos. No need for the viewer it is built in. I have a Mac Pro, ever since using a Mac, I have never installed any camera software from the vendors.

You'll solve the freezing issue if after you load your pics to the iPad, you format the card in camera before you take any shots.

Hi,

Very nice captures. Maybe a Tele converter on X100 would help no? :-) but anyway very interesting captures indeed, and the way X100 preserves colors under those circustances is very impressive too.

I do that already. When I first put the card in, the camera won't turn on. I have to pull the card out, turn the camera on and then put the card in and then format the card.

I have to say that other than that, it rarely freezes and is basically instant on (I use a 45mbs card).

That mobile me adds a lot of artifacts when downsizing. On my main computer and at full size, the images are super smooth. I am really impressed with this little camera.

Have you tried locking the memory card with the little switch on it before you put it in the iPad and then unlocking it after you take it back out?

This should stop all the stupid hidden mac files from being written to your card that are the most likely cause of the issue you are having.

I haven't got my ipad card reader yet, but will probably do so before my next trip...
