Calling HX100V Owners!--Lowlight: "Show me the money!"

I've had this problem over and over again with every camera I've been interested in...I always want to hunt for high ISO samples and low light/night samples, and rarely find any. Even with DSLRs, where you are more likely to find some, there are still only a handful, and few and far between.

It comes down to the fact that this is not a common area for photography, and loads of even quite skilled photographers never venture into this type of photography. I have always been a night shot maven, a low light hunter, a high ISO denizen. I've loved this type of shooting for over a decade of digital, and film before that. But I know I'm in the minority.

Even my lowly TX1, when I first got it, some of the very first shots I posted and tests I did with it were high ISO twilight mode stuff. If I had an HX100, or even had access to one to borrow, I'd be happy to throw a barrage of twilight mode shots at you!

So just to hold over until someone with an HX100 steps up, here are some high ISO hand-held twilight shots with my old TX1:

Thanks for piddling with the image, Bill. That's always a compliment in my book. You went for the hue of ambient daylight, which is more toward the blue end of the spectrum. However, I left the hue of the present shot as is on purpose, because that was the spectrum of the floods in the auditorium and what the natural human eye actually saw during the play. No problem at all with your adjustment--looks fine--but that was not the hue of the actual stage lighting. Just a matter of choice, I suppose. I like to preserve scenes as experienced, generally. :)
