Help! NEX-5 reinserting memory card

Hi all... just a n NEX-5 this am. I also got a 16GB Memo stick pro duo. When I insert the stick, the camera asked me to reinsert the card. So I took it out and reinsert it and it happened again. Mind you I did not fully charged battery at all. Just opened the box and insert the battery and the memo card?

Something wrong with the camera socket? or its an battery issue since it is not charged up yet.
