Took some new shots of a model Myriam I had done some pictures with once before. It was not the best weather outside, so we did everything indoors with a three head Novatron flash set up. Used a custom white balance for the Novatron flash for the shots, and did no color correction at all for the shots. The colors are exactly as they came out of my S2. Used my Tokina 28-70 ATX Pro II lens for all shots. I have a few shots below and all the shots can be seen at http://www.canadiancenterfolds.com/myriam_gallery2.html

Very Nice Ron.

Of all your models, I think I like her the most. She is the most natural-looking of the bunch (that I have seen). She seems to be very comfortable.

At any rate, nice job!

As usual, nice work! I really like the pics of Myriam as she looks relaxed and is having fun. I personally like the pics with the peach colored dress as I think the colors look great on her.

Great job buddy.

Beautiful, as always. My favorite is the red dress. I can't believe you actually get paid to take pictures of such beautiful women! :-)

Your lighting technique looks very natural. How many stops (if any) deference between the flash heads?

I am looking at how's the Tokina 28-70 wide open? Can you send or post some sample at wide open?

Thanks,
The'

Thanks Tran. I use two umbrellas in the front with one being one stop less in power and I also use a third head in a small soft box on a boom off to the side and to the rear with one stop less as well. The Tokina is a bit soft wide open, but is very acceptable by f4 and very good at f4.8 extemely sharp at f5.6 and above. I never use the lens wide open for shooting. Just increase the iso if I need to.I have three shots below taken with the Tokina with the first being at f4 and the second at f4.8 and the third at f5.6. Don't have any at f2.8 as I never shoot at that aperature.

Thanks Mahesh. All colors seem to look good on this model. She is very easy to work with as well.

Thanks Teski. The bright colors like the peach dress really stand out on her darker skin. Have a shot below that I just took about a couple of hours ago with a new mode Jennifer.

Great job buddy.

Thanks. She is very comfortable in front of the camera and it shows. A very easy girl to shoot. Almost everything comes out good with very little work.
At any rate, nice job!

She's kind of got that bad a$$ look to her with the belly button stud, the leather jacket and the look on her face. Don't mess with her! :-)....Nice model and a great shot. Looking forward to seeing the gallery.

I was worried the S2 would not be able to meter well off of darker skin, butyour shots look great. The flash strength and locations I imagine will also be important. Thanks for sharing and for your info.

Thanks for the sample and the tips on lighting.

The first shot of the samples is favorite. Very pretty models you've got and you get paid for shooting too???
Lucky shoes you're in :-))

Really appreciated,
The'

I too just got the same lens, but still light years away from shooting pictures like that;) The skin tone is absolutely "dead on". Really enjoy your fine works Ron!

I will agree with others that your model's skin tone turned out well. The poses are still not relaxed or natural in subtle ways and the background is unflattering, in fact, distracting because its so ugly.

Myriam has that "commoner" look, simple beauty but not stunning or ... wow-kinda eye-catching.

THe lighting is perfect.
