During a visit to a town in Quezon Province (Southern Luzon, Philippines), we went to a river where we saw these kids frolicking in the waters. I took my gear and clicked on the shutter while these guys happily continued enjoying playing in their natural swimming pool.

Thanks for looking.

This is another one of those times where somebody post some very nice pictures and gets no comments. And yet somebody else post some crappy pictures of their cat/dog and get 20 comments. This forum is weird sometimes. :|

Thanks for posting your pictures. I liked them and think you did a good job.

It's only been 2hrs and it is mid afternoon on a Friday in the country where the most members belong ?

great shots! as a newbie, i am curious as to how much time you put into "correcting" these shots (if any).

It would be interesting to know the national composition of this forum. I see a lot of post from all over the world, which is part of what makes it so nice. I suspect that the USA, while the majority as far as a single country goes, may not make up as high of an over all percentage as you might think. Also I'll bet there are a lot of people that read this forum at work. I know I do.

Mark, very nice images. It is obvious the lens is doing it's fine work along with your proper timing for the expressions. Very natural and it is enjoyable to view the images.

the action and expression in the faces is a pleasure to see.

Nice shots with the 400mm

We get so busy thinking that all portraits are with a 50 or 85 mm, but these shots are great portraits. They show us a personal side of these kids having a great time.

Nice work. You caught the instant of action and expression perfectly.

Thanks, ruwithme. Took me around 3-5 mins to process each shot. Processing includes WB adjustment, some cropping (most are near full-frame), brightness and contrast adjustments, some sharpening and some NR.

Indeed superteles can work great too as the greater working distance allows you to shoot your subjects "more candidly." The bokeh doesn't disappoint, either.

Thanks for the comments, whvick.
