I think this problem is not common even to other QV-4000s. I've just studied the pictures. IMHO it looks more like "hot pixels" rather than ordinary noise. All cameras suffer from this more or less. Mine has two of them. But it's not an issue, for some other camera of the same type might have none at all.http://www.pbase.com/allencheuk/noise
