Hello Pentaxians

Back again for a series - this time wandering well haunted streets such as Olivera in Los Angeles (where the city was founded). Summer is heating up again - as is the street shooting; follow along with three of my favorite primes.

Avila 1818 [FA31]

Latin Flavored [FA31]

Carryin' A Couple Of Keys [FA31]

Cheap Talent [DA15]

Southwest Rest [DA15]

No Privacy [FA43]

No Communication [DA15]

No Substance [FA43]

Eclecticism: In Feet [FA31]

Meat Market Existence [FA31]

Solution Stocking [FA31]

Seeing Straight [FA31]

Excellent series, I particularly like the communication shot the shadows bring quite a bit of character and depth to the shot.

Hello PP, great to have another interesting series to mull over in my lunch break. Very well observed and composed as always. My favourite by a long way is 'no privacy'... those eyes are quite spooky.

Best wishes

Andy:

Nice little photo essay. Loved it. The set reveals a lot about the "feel" of the place. Great technical mastery, of courses (as always). Of the set, two really stand out for me:
"Solution Stocking" followed by "Cheap Talent."

Thanks for posting this very enjoyable series. I'm always inspired by the strong street photography posted here.

Glad you enjoyed these. I thought they eyes were pretty creepy myself; an interesting find. Good to hear from you

Great to hear from you Matt - Solution Stocking was one of my faves here too; I liked how she was almost dwarfed by all the stuff on the shelves.

Hi Amy

I was just looking at your work - it appears you and I have a very similar eye/taste; your processing is good as well. I see you got your silver FA43 (what a beauty of a lens huh? So small!). The FA43 is definitely a cult favorite around here; on APS-C it's such a strange little optic - excellent for portraits but wide enough for so many other things. Don't get me started on the MF feel and it's abilities on 35mm.

Thank you for your kind words on the shots - looking forward to seeing some work from you; we need more street shooters here.

-Andy
What a great series! I love Avila and No Privacy. I'm currently trying to pull together money for (and find) a silver 31 and 43, and your photos just make me long for them more!

Really really nice set...

Amy
