Fuji S2 and 28-105 Nikkor lens. Shot in RAW and then converted to 16 bit TIFF using Q-Image Pro's Linear mode. Then converted to 8 bit TIFF then to JPEG and resized and cropped for the web. Adjusted levels but NO OTHER PS postprocessing. Tripod, cable resease, F 11 1/3 second, focal length 28 mm. My eye was caught by the texture of this image. Any thoughts? Enjoy!

What a trip! I really like the composition and texture. Very bizarre on my eyes. :-)

Hi Mahesh,

I think I said it all in a previous response this week.

Yet another great image, created from something most people would just walk past without seeing.

I see you use Q-image Pro, what do you think of it? I can already see that its very effective. But is it user friendly and fairly fast at performing tasks?

Happy Shooting

Simon

Thanks, Simon. Sorry for the late response. I like Q-image pro for the conversion from RAW to TIFF only but almost never use it for anything else. I still use Photoshop to do my printing. Q-image Pro isn't he most user friendly program but it's extensive manual is very well written with excellent "follow the steps" examples. The program is a little slow to do conversion...takes about 25 seconds per image on my 1.8 GHz Pentium 4 processor with 512 of memory. I hope this has helped.

First of all, thanks for your kind words, Mike. Secondly, I'm very proud and happy that you find my posts helpful...if you have any questions at all about the camera or how to take certain shots with the S2 you've definitely come to the right forum. I, myself, owe this forum a lot...without the the help, suggestions, and encouragement from forum members, I think I would not be as good a photographer to day.
