Is it me?
I've been out several times with my F717 trying to do some long exposures from a cliff near my home. If there are city lights to do autofocus then no problem, but much of the time it seems easier to switch to manual focus - set to infiinty.
Here's the question - Exactly how far is infinity?
The problem is the city lights (and to some extent the stars!) are blurry. It's not camera movement - I've got a nice tripod and a remote shutter switch, no wind, and 40 pictures. The display definitely has the infinity symbol next to the manual focus hand symbol. I've already sent this F717 back for the other focus issue.

So...
- Should I just skip manual focus, and use autofocus? (Which seems to work!)
- Realize that nothing is really at infinity and never set my manual focus at full infinity?
- Call Sony and get them to fix it?
