Hello,

Tonight I made a lunar 'fly-over' movie in 1080i mode with our GH2. While waiting for the upload of the movie, I grabbed three images out of a movie, deinterlaced them and made this panorama of the first quarter moon.

This was with a focal length of 2350mm. Heavy turbulence (a storm arrived 10 minutes after I dismantled the equipment) made it difficult to use longer focal lengths.

For highest resolution, you may want to look at the original (reduced 50% in size).

Enjoy

Dominique

Which lens were you using?

Must have been a stack of of teleconverters on maybe a 100-300mm lens. Hard to imagine!

The movie is in another post. It says the "lens" was a Celestron C9.25 telescope! Makes sense.
