Good dads protect their nests (pics)

Thanks Lewynn! I used 1/1250ss, that'll freeze most object motion. It was shot handheld on the sidewalk on the quay, so no getting wet involved :) Aperture was wide open f/5.6. No filters or polarizers. Just a very low angle, laying on the side walk, the water was maybe 30cm/1foot lower.
What were the settings you used to get the water the way it is in the 2nd and 8th pictures? It has to be a fast shutter right? And your aperture fairly narrow? Or were you using one of those ND filters or polarizer?

Did you have to get wet to get that angel?

As usual, amazing stuff.

When you get down to the nuts and bolts of photography, the results depend on the 'nut' behind the camera!

Thanks Ol! With a little luck the eggs will hatch, and if they hatch I'd hope it's before we're in Italy :)
stunning set of shots as always - the colour, clarity and lighting are all superb - but what a great story to tie them all together, that made them all the more enjoyable to see! I can't wait for Part 2!
