Hi, I just want to share two versions of a picture taken a week ago: The first one is out-of-camera (well, raw file imported with Apple Aperture). For the second one, I further adjusted the curves, cropped away the concrete, straightened the horizon, changed the white balance and adjusted the chromatic aberration. It amazes me that, even with my limited skills in PP, a picture can look so much better after 30 seconds of work (IMHO!).
Feel free to post your before/after pics! I'm looking forward to get inspired...

Here's one of mine before and after a couple minutes of PPing. I did a little more on this one than I usually do.

The sky looks definitely more interesting, but I would have darken the beach a bit to focus the viewer's attention more to the guy on the playground (well spotted!).

Thanks for the criticisms! I will go back and play around with it some more. I've realized I need to calibrate my monitor... My prints are looking a bit different than on-screen.

Agreed...but a great shot nonetheless

Good colour in that beach photo.. As I'm starting getting to grips with PP I'm going through all my old underexposed and dull photos from years ago and started perking them up a bit!
